Tron: Ares

“Tron: Ares” is the latest chapter in Disney’s sci-fi saga, directed by Joachim Rønning with a score by Nine Inch Nails. The film shifts the battle from the Grid to our world, following a rogue AI named Ares (Jared Leto) who enters reality on a high-stakes mission for Dillinger Systems. Released in October 2025 and streaming on Disney+ as of January 2026, the film is celebrated for its stunning visual effects and the return of Jeff Bridges.

To celebrate the release, Disney Indonesia launched “The Grid is Entering Indonesia,” a campaign for which I was commissioned to create a localized poster. My design features Bundaran HI—its iconic circular shape mirroring a Tron Identity Disk—with the Patung Selamat Datang as the central figure. I intertwined these landmarks with the film’s signature new triangular disk, symbolizing the digital world’s arrival in the heart of Jakarta.
