24 Jam Bersama Gaspar

“24 Hours with Gaspar” is a 2023 Indonesian crime drama film directed by Yosep Anggi Noen. This dystopian crime drama, based on the novel of the same name by author Sabda Armandio, stars Reza Rahadian, Laura Basuki, Shenina Cinnamon, Sal Priadi, Dewi Irawan, and Kristo Immanuel.

The film received nine nominations at the 2023 Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Dewi Irawan), and Best Adapted Screenplay (M. Irfan Ramli). It won the Citra Award for the latter category.

The story follows the life of private detective Gaspar, who has only 24 hours to live. He discovers clues leading to the mysterious disappearance of Kirana, a childhood friend, and later to Wan Ali, who is involved in a human trafficking syndicate. Gaspar, along with five other people, plans to rob a jewelry store in the last hours of his life.

“24 Hours with Gaspar” had its world premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 6, 2023, competing for the Kim Jiseok Award. It was also screened at the Singapore International Film Festival on December 4, 2023, and the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which took place from November 30 to December 9, 2023.

Netflix acquired its distribution rights and released it on March 14, 2024.
